Well we've had good weeks here with a mixture of sun, melting snow, puddles, ice, more snow and more sun! Jennifer and I have had some wonderful mini-adventures outside playing chalk in the sun, jumping in puddles until our socks are soaked and going for walks past the house with the chickens (there really is a house with chickens in our neighbourhood - fantastic!). We also had one "mis-adventure" at the Children's Hospital -- we got separated from each other for what seemed like an eternity! We were on our way home and needed to take the elevator to the ground floor...I had the "limousine" stroller to manage and Jennifer was just ahead - the elevator opened, Jennifer got in...the elevator started to close...I quickly put my arm in the door to stop it from closing however, it just kept closing! Despite my adreniline-charged-super-mama-strength, there was nothing I could do. Jennifer went down on the elevator by herself while I desperately waited for the next one to take me down....to make a long story short, all worked out fine. We both shed a few tears, debriefed more than once and decided that we, from now on, will walk into the elevator together! Phew! Wait until there's four of them walking...yikes!
The babies too have had busy days with return visits to the head-shape clinic where everything was fine albeit a minor adjustment to Emily's helmet along with the second to last RSV vaccination -- YAY, only one more left! The girls tolerated their pokes very well and, thankfully, are still "talking" to me! They were all weighed this week and according to the scale, Heather has overtaken Emily! Heather weighed in at a whopping 18lbs 10oz with Emily close on her heels at 18lbs 2oz...despite these weights, the nurses insisted that Emily was the biggest so I'm not sure the weights are exact....Caitlyn weighed in at a very respectable 17lbs 8 oz! Go Girls!
We're gearing up here for a fun week -- Papa will be home for a super long weekend that will get packed with fun adventures -- we're looking forward to seeing dear friends - the Greens this week and there may even be a trip to Canmore (weather dependant)...so much fun!
