Triple Sensation: Ready....steady....

This past week has, like most of the other weeks, gone by quickly. I suppose that is, in part, due to the fact that I'm very conscious of the fact that each day that passes is one day closer to the day Jeremy returns to the real world of "9-5". I am the first to admit I will miss him terribly. Not just because he's taking his spare set of hands with him...that is truely unfortunate, yes. Having Jeremy home for these past 9 months has been an amazing experience. I think I can honestly say we are among the few parents who have had an opportunity to spend 9 months together, day-in, day-out, watching and revelling in the miracle of life unfolding and blossoming before your eyes. It hasn't always been easy; some days have been downright hard, but we're still standing, laughing, loving, joking, cuddling and giggling right along with our girls. All the girls have flourished under the watchful, playful, musical, thoughtful and loving eyes and hands of their Papa, and we will be missing him during the days he's not at home with us.

So, on that note - a quick update. We've secured Jennifer a part-time day-care spot. We have almost solidified our decision about which day-care it is going to be, but not quite...the one we're leaning towards is new to all of us and is a 20 minute walk/ 5 minute drive from our home. I could manage to both drop-off and pick-up Jennifer if the need arose. There is a big incentive to staying close to home as Jer will most likely be travelling a bit with his new job. In any case, we're going to give the day-care a try and see how I manage at home alone (no Jer, no nanny to "replace" Jer)...there will likely be some "hairy-canary days" ahead however, I think we're getting used to those.

The babies are all making some big advancements in their day-to-day developments. It's so fun to watch each one of them try to figure out what they want to do next...

Caitlyn was last spotted trying desperately to get up on her hands and knees. She has managed to actually not only get up on hands and knees but also maintain that position long enough to rock back and forth for a few seconds. You can see her frustration at times, just wanting so badly to move forward!

Heather continues to amaze us with her rolling prowess. She eyes something she is interested in across the room and she's gone in a flash. We have found her under tables and chairs, usually quite delighted with herself for her locomotive skills! We discovered today that she has not only one bottom tooth (this has been there for a while) but she has also sprouted her two incisor teeth on the top... It seems early for this, but they are there nonetheless! Heather continues to dabble around when drinking her milk; however, she has flourished in the solids department and devours whatever is given to her. She, most likely, will be giving Emily a challenge in the next "weigh-off".

Emily delights us daily with a dose of belly giggles. You can't help but laugh and smile at such an infectious sound. We've seen Emily continue to work hard at rolling; however, she is still quite content to remain close to where she is put down and watch her sisters expend their energy instead. She has really come on strong with her sitting skills and is giving Heather some lessons now and then in multitasking (sitting and playing with toys). Emily is still the champion milk-drinker and, although taking her own time, has made significant strides in taking her solids more readily.

Jennifer has moved up in the world and is now the proud "sleeper" in a "big girl" bed. She couldn't be more happy and so far, is sleeping soundly every night. It took quite the effort to get the bed home and then assembled (IKEA - #$%@^&*!), but she now loves it and asks regularly if it is bed time yet!!
